In the article it talks about a fire that happened at a sweatshop in Bangladesh. The owner of the sweatshop and his wife were getting investigated to see if the fire was caused by them. If they were found guilty for the fire then they would go to jail. And I think that in the article it said that they would in be jail for life. I think that having these illegal sweatshops is bad because if something like this happens then you're going to be in bigger trouble because you owned a sweatshop and there was a fire and it killed a lot of people. What I find upsetting from this is that the people who worked at the sweatshops weren't getting paid, were sometimes getting hurt and the people didn't do anything to help them, and that they had to work for so long and didn't get any rest.
I think that the poem was about a worker who worked at a sweatshop and was getting treated badly. She would work for hours and hours, almost the whole day. She wouldn't get enough sleep. All she had to eat was red wine, lettuce, and bread at her house. She wouldn't get fed during the whole day at the sweatshop. She would work in really bad conditions. The poem was different from the article because I feel that since it's a poem it gives more details about the emotions that the person is having. I think it's way easier reading a poem because I shows me more about how they are living, acting, and feeling.
