The Diary Of Anne Frank Assign. 4

A summary of my whole book is about a Jewish girl named Anne Frank. Anne had to live during a date in history called the Holocaust. The Holocaust was created by a German named Hitler. Hitler didn't really like the Jews so he made groups called Nazis. The Nazis went around killing Jews everywhere. There were some Germans that didn't like the idea of killing the Jews, so some of them tried finding some ways to help them. Anne and her family, and other families were helped by hiding in German houses. She and her family lived in an attic with other families joined with them so they can get help also. Anne had a diary that she got on her birthday, and she wrote in their almost everyday. She always wrote about her feeling and how she felt about everything, because it's a diary and in diaries most of the times you write about what you feel. So Anne wrote, and she thought what would be so interesting about a 13 year old girl. She never knew that it would get read all over the world. But it is good that she did write, so we could know more about the experiences about the Holocaust.

While I was reading the book "The Diary Of Anne Frank" I noticed a signpost. The signpost that I noticed is the Again & Again. This signpost means that a character in the book has been saying something repeatedly during the book. There were a couple of moments where Anne kept repeating things. Two examples that she really kept repeating, and that really stuck to my mind are that she wanted to be a grown woman already and that she wanted to be famous. When she said that she wanted to be a grown woman she meant that she wanted to get her period like her sister and that she wanted breasts. She didn't want to be seen as a little girl anymore, she didn't like that. Throughout her diaries she kept talking about her wanted to grow up already. The again and again moment that I remember is that she also kept saying that she wanted to be famous. She said that she wanted to be a movie star, popular, famous, and be known everywhere. She hated being in that attic that she had to be stuck in. She never liked it there, because she had to be living with other people and she also said that it was to crowding.

Anne Frank Assignment 5: Conflict

The Diary Of Anne Frank is about how her life was going during the Holocaust. She has to live in an attic that a German family let them live in. So they could hide away from the Nazi guards. Because the Nazi guards were starting to appear everywhere getting rid of the Jews. Since Hitler was taking everything step by step, that was on of the steps he had in mind and now making it happen. I think that the plan was to send every Jew to a concentration camp. Where supposably everything was great over in the camps, but it actually wasn't.

The conflict in my book is man vs. society. I think that The Diary Of Anne Frank is man vs. society because it's Hitler taking over and killing every Jew. Since there are more people on Hitler's side, it's like a group or society that want to discriminate Jews. So, it's like all the Jews and the Nazis are against each other because Nazis don't like them.

Anne Frank Assignment 3: Plot

In the book that I am currently reading, which is the Diary of Anne Frank, the Holocaust is happening. Anne Frank and her family are living in an attic because they are hiding from the Nazis. Some Germans think that what Hitler is doing is wrong, so some of them let Jews hide in their houses so they don't get discovered by the Nazi and get killed. But doing that is a huge risk for the Germans. Anne wrote in her diary from June 12, 1942-August 1, 1944. During that time when she was writing in her diary, Hitler and the Nazis kind of ruled. So, since Hitler wanted to kill and get ride of Jews, and since she and her family were Jews, she was writing in her diary about how life was going and what had to happen during that time so they won't get killed.

Lately, Anne and her mother had been having some arguments. Also, something shocking and surprising that had happened to Anne, was that she kissed her crush, Peter. What's been happening in my book is that one of Anne's fathers co-workers has been suspicious about him. So the guy went inside the house where Anne's family was hiding in, to find out things about what he was suspicious about. While the guy was inside the house, he managed to steal things. Those things weren't even Anne's families things, they were things from the Germans that let Anne and her family stay there. So that was unfair. But maybe as I keep reading more into the book more interesting things might happen to Anne and her family.

Holocaust Blog

After reading about the bystanders and upstanders during the Holocaust, I believe that there were reasons why people weren't standing up and supporting what they truly believe in what was right. I think that people just stood by and didn't do anything because they were afraid that they might get hurt or killed just like how the Jews were. Also, since Adolf Hitler was taking small steps to achieve what he did, people didn't realize what was happening slowly and slowly. Probably, they also thought that Hitler was just making a little bit of changes and so they really didn't care much at the time because they would've thought it was still going to be the same. I think that some people, that weren't Jews, thought that what Hitler was doing, was wrong. So some of those people tried helping some of the Jews. Some helped by hiding them, like how Anne Frank was hidden. Honestly, I think that I wouldn't have done anything. I wouldn't do anything because the process of how everything went was going slowly and slowly so I wouldn't be noticing it at all. And also probably, since it wouldn't have been bothering me at the time, I wouldn't really care much about it.

Genre of "Life As We Knew It"

The book "Life As We Knew It" is about how the main character Miranda and her family live life in a small town in Pennsylvania, while an asteroid hit the moon at night and is now close and very visible to everyone. Since the moon is off of it's axis, that effects the weather. The weather was starting to change a lot, sometimes it would be hot and then sometimes it would be really cold. There would be earthquakes, hurricane, tsunamis, tornados and other natural causes because of the weather changing.

The genre of this book I think, would be science fiction. It would be science fiction because it's about things in outer space, and an asteroid hitting the moon could never happen. I like science fiction because science for me is an interesting topic. I think that in the future I might read another science fiction book. What I liked about my book is that it was a girls perspective on things, and that's a connection that I have with it. I also like that it was in first person point of view. I like these types of books in this point of view because you really get to know what they are felling and thinking about what's going on, and since it's like a journal that they are keeping, they give good details and it feels like you're there with them. A character that I really liked was Miranda, she was the main character. I liked that character because she was really determined and never gave up on her family with all of the things that were going on.
